Saltsburg Kayak & Canoe Outfitters is conveniently located to provide all that you need to enjoy a day on the river or trails. The West Penn Trail runs directly past our historic mill building, which is located across the street from river access. We rent both boats (kayaks and canoes) and bikes, as well as provide transport for boat owners. Our feature river trip is a leisurely 7.5 mile float from the Conemaugh Dam to our location in Saltsburg. We provide your boat, paddle, PFD (life jacket) and transportation to the launch. Cyclists can ride for miles on the West Penn Trail and Westmoreland Heritage Trail. Saltsburg Kayak & Canoe Outfitters services group outings such as youth groups, corporate outings, wedding parties, family reunions and more, providing both a fun group activity and a rustic atmosphere to relax before or after your river adventure. The mill and yard can be rented for picnics or events.
