The Indiana County Jimmy Stewart Airport is a modern, public-use airport serving the growing communities of Indiana County, PA and its surrounding areas. The Jimmy Stewart Airport, named after hometown boy and Hollywood Actor James Stewart, offers services for private and commercial pilots of small aircrafts. The airport is equipped with a runway lighting system, snow removal capabilities allowing for all-season operations and an Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS) enabling pilots and others to receive timely and accurate weather information. The terminal building houses administrative offices, a pilots' lounge and flight planning area, as well as a conference room. The installation of a new fuel tank farm has enabled the airport to provide jet fuel (JET A) in addition to conventional aviation fuel (100 LL). Also, a maintenance hangar and new T-hangars were recently constructed.
