It’s A Wonderful Life Festival 2022
While Downtown Indiana’s Light-Up Night and the Holiday Parade may be over for 2022, there are still plenty of exciting happenings occurring during the First Commonwealth Bank’s “It’s A Wonderful Life” Festival happening weekends through December 18!
Continuing weekends November 26 through December 18:
- A 30-Foot LIVE Christmas Tree.
- Vintage Christmas light and window displays.
- Specialty boutiques and locally owned restaurants.
- Visit with Santa and enjoy marshmallow roasting from 12 PM – 5 PM on Saturdays and 12 PM – 3 PM on Sundays.
- Visit the Jimmy Stewart Museum for a host of activities.
- “Toys of Christmas Past” exhibit at the Historical & Genealogical Society of Indiana County.
- Holiday “Wheels and Thrills” community miniature train & quilt show at the Indiana Mall.
- Selfie locations (see brochure below).
- The Indiana County Woodturners Association will display their handmade ornaments at Luxenberg’s Jewelry stores throughout the holiday season. There will be a silent auction to bid on and possibly win your favorite ornament. All proceeds will benefit the Teddy Bear Fund Drive. Additional happenings on Friday, November 18, include:
The Welcome Center at Grace Church will be opened as a warm-up station to those gathering in Downtown Indiana, for the 2022 It’s a Wonderful Life Parade and Light-Up Night. Visitors will be welcomed into a warm space receiving sweet treats and hot chocolate while enjoying Christmas Carols and taking a family photo at our wintery photo booth. Grace welcomes you to take a moment to stop in to warm your hands and your hearts as we kick off the Holiday Season! The warm-up station can be accessed by way of the Grace Courtyard (7th Street) into the Welcome Center and will be open 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
Diamond Drug at 670 Philadelphia St. will once again be serving FREE hot dogs the night of the parade (Nov. 18) *while supplies last*
Miniature Ponies at 5 PM on South 7th Street.
S & T will be providing free popcorn and glow sticks in front of the bank. *while supplies last*
The Indiana County Recovery Center will be open from 5:30 – 8:30 with hot chocolate, coffee, popcorn and cookies. *while supplies last*
Indiana County Children & Youth Services (ICCYS) -“Open your heart, open your home, consider fostering.”
