“It’s A Wonderful Life” at the Jimmy Stewart Museum (admission rates apply). Get in the holiday spirit while watching “The Making of It’s A Wonderful Life” documentary shown daily at 10:30 AM, GE Theater’s “A Trail to Christmas” shown daily at 11:30 AM and “It’s A Wonderful Life” shown daily at 1 PM. See the “It’s A Wonderful Life” exhibit, filled with pictures, memorabilia, posters and behind the scenes facts. View the festival of themed Christmas trees throughout the museum, decorated based on Stewart’s life and movies. Take your picture lassoing the moon in front of their big mural, or earning your own wings! Enjoy their “Shop Around the Corner” gift shop, which is stocked with lots of unique items, clothing, books, mugs, posters, DVD’s, puzzles and SO much more! There’s never a fee to stop and shop! Information: It’s Christmas Eve and Tinker Bell summons Wendy, Michael and John to help her save Peter Pan and Santa Claus from Captain Hook and his terrible Pirates. Santa Claus has been frozen in the North Pole and can’t deliver the presents on Christmas! With help from the audience, the Children help Peter Pan escape Captain Hook’s clutches and we’re off on an adventure! A Christmas Peter Pan takes its cue from JM Barrie’s beloved classic story, “Peter Pan”. The boy who refuses to grow up leads Tinkerbell, Wendy, Snow Fairies, Christmas Elves and Santa’s Lost Toys on a lively fun romp through the North Pole and home again just in time for Christmas morning! Information: Martian ruler Kimar (Leonard Hicks) is upset that the children of Mars are lazy and under the influence of too much pop culture from Earth. They are obsessed with the planet’s television programs and don’t want to do much of anything. In an attempt to get the kids peppy again, Kimar orders the kidnapping of Santa Claus (John Call), hoping that the jolly old toymaker will know how to cheer the children up again. But two Earth children are also nabbed, and this complicates things for Kimar.

When Kringle surprises customers and employees alike by claiming that he really is Santa Claus, it leads to a court case to determine his mental health and, more importantly, his authenticity.

Information:Common Goods is an annual pop-up store featuring laser-cut paper packages of items we need but cannot buy, like empathy, rest and rainbows. The packages were designed by students in Sharon Massey and Sean Derry’s 3D Design and Digital Fabrication classes, first as hand cut paper prototypes which were then translated into digital files for reproduction. Students used a laser cutter in STEAMSHOP, IUP’s interdisciplinary makerspace, to create precision cut multiples of their designs. Each package is for sale, and all proceeds benefit the Future Makers Fund, a catalytic funding stream for emerging makers.
