Getting the Most Out of Your Backyard Garden: Seed Starting and Small-Scale Solutions

Alexis Shank – Join us for a family-friendly workshop (with breakout activities for children) focused on how to maximize the productivity of your backyard garden. Learn how to start seeds for both in-ground and transplanted crops. Discover the benefits of using timetables, plant spacing, and small-scale solutions such as layering, companion planting, and vertical growing to maximize your garden’s productivity. Participants will take home a small selection of pre-grown seedlings, seed packets, and a seed starting kit.
