Electrofishing at Yellow Creek

October 5 @ 1:30 pm

Dave Janetski – Join IUP’s Dave Janetski to learn about Yellow Creek’s local fish populations and common sampling methods. Help to electroshock live fish! Electroshocking is a safe and effective way to survey fish populations and learn about stream health. All ages welcome, but only individuals, age 12 & up can help with electrofishing. If under 18, you must attend with an adult. Please bring your own waders or high rubber boots, if you have them. If you would like to electrofish and need waders, please note shoe size at registration. Space is limited and will require pre-registration after 9/10/2024 by emailing Lisa Meadows at limeadows@pa.gov with name, phone, email, and group size (limit 4) by 10/1/2024.
