DiscoverE: Exploring Creek Critters

June 29 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Curious about the critters that live in our local stream? Did you know that you can learn a lot about the health of a stream by looking at the bugs that live there? Join us in the exploration of salamanders, crayfish, stream bugs and more to learn how identify these critters and why they call our waterways home.
Meet by Lakeview Pavilion in the Day Use Area. After a short discussion, we will take to the stream with our nets and other gear to search for aquatic insects, crayfish, and more! This program is perfect for families. Wear old shoes in the stream and bring a dry pair for after. Weather dependent.
Driving Direction from Park Office, 170 Rt 259 Hwy Penn Run, PA 15765: Drive past park office on Rt 259, go past South Boat Launch. Turn right into Day Use Area, go over small bridge, and take 1st right turn. Park by Lakeview Pavilion.
