Stonycreek-Kiski-Conemaugh Rivers   Map This Location

The Stony-Kiski-Conemaugh Rivers Sojourn is back for 2021!

No experience required. We welcome boaters of all skill levels.

We'll paddle 44-miles from Johnstown to Apollo over four days, taking in the scenic river vistas and camping along the way. Floats are between 7 and 15 miles, and all skill levels are welcome. Most meals will be provided.

Participants may join us for the days of their choosing or the entire weekend.

The fun begins on the Stonycreek River on June 3rd, with a 15-mile journey through Johnstown and the Conemaugh Gap. On Day Two, we will take the group on a 10-mile run from Robinson to Blairsville, through the scenic Packsaddle Gap. The next day, we'll begin at the Conemaugh Dam and float first to Saltsburg for lunch at the Historic Canal Days Festival, and then onto Avonmore, for a total of 12 miles. On our last day, we'll embark on our final 7-miles from Avonmore to the Roaring Run takeout in Apollo. It's sure to be a memorable weekend!

Participants may bring their own gear or rent from local outfitters.

Sojourners will be required to follow CDC guidelines associated with Covid-19. As these guidelines continue to change, we will update our protocols as well. Expect that masks will be required at times and social distancing practices to be in effect. Thank you for patience and understanding! We’re excited to get back on the rivers!
