This program will serve as an introduction to navigating the outdoors. Taking place in White’s Woods, this is an educational program that is focused on basic land orientation and navigation that includes survivability skills. After completion, a participant will be able to identify terrain features, navigate using maps and create temporary shelter using the same techniques that are implemented in the United States Army today! Course will be taught by U.S. Army Staff Sergeant.

  • Fee: $30 per individual participant

  • Dates: September 17th, 24th and October 3rd

  • (Course will run 3 weeks, once a week)

  • Ages: 9 & Up. Ages 8 & under must have adult supervision

  • Recommended Equipment: Hiking boots if possible or any closed toe athletic shoe, bug spray, water bottle, dress weather appropriate, compasses are encouraged. No knives or sharp tools.
