Rooster's Revenge: No Parking on the Dance Floor

5:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Parking Lot at 8th & Gompers Indiana, PA   Map This Location

A free, community, outdoor social-distance dance party presented by and benefiting The Indiana Players and Downtown Indiana.

Opened in 1965, the Red Rooster was a teen young-adult night club along old route 119 in Indiana, which featured popular rock, folk, soul, and Motown acts. Late Indiana music legend, Ken “Hiram” Holiday, with local groups like The Cavalcades, Hiram and the Walkers, and other acts like The Mark V, was a cornerstone of Indiana rock and soul history and set up these community shows at the club.

Join us for this free event as we revive a community love for dance and music, with the support of The Indiana Players and Downtown Indiana, Levity Brewery and classic vinyl Dj's who specialize in classic soul, funk and disco.

Individuals will be required to maintain social distancing recommendations --using the empty parking spaces as a general guideline - we'll be helping to enforce this on site.

On the wheels:

Dj Poptone: Living Life at 45 Rpm's and pushing platters that matter - specializing in a mixture of jump-blues, soul, and boogaloo molds and a host of others to get you moving

Dj Allsortz: Pickin' all the boogies so you can shake 'em off - 60's soul, deep funk, disco, boogie and 80's and 90's party grooves ---alll sorts
