Local Indiana County Balloon Artist Selected to Showcase Skills at the Big Balloon Build
Hundreds applied, only 80 selected, to create an immersive balloon land out of 150,000+ balloons in Northern Indiana to support charity.
Elkhart, IN – Denise Chresos, a talented balloon artist in Western Pennsylvania, has been selected to join a team of the world’s best balloon artists to create an
amazing balloon wonderland in Northern Indiana. All proceeds from the event will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Michiana.
The Big Balloon Build is an international balloon event created from 150,000+ biodegradable balloons. This April, Chresos will work with other balloon artists to transform the Northern
Indiana Event Center into a larger-than-life, fully immersive balloon carnival.
“We will have tightrope walkers, a giant ferris wheel, clowns, and more – all made entirely out of balloons! And our artists will create this entire exhibit in just four days, working April 22th-25th,
before it opens to the public,” said Stuart Davies, director of the Big Balloon Build. “We are thrilled to have Chresos part of the team, helping us create this massive event and raising
important funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Michiana.”
Denise is donating her time and talents as a balloon artist, bringing joy and aid to children. Chresos started the Flower and Balloon Gallery in 2013. The shop specializes in floral designs
and balloon decor for all events. Chresos was selected from hundreds of applicants to participate in the Big Balloon Build in Northern Indiana. This is her sixth time being selected for
the Big Balloon Build.
“I keep applying for these builds because it is a good feeling to be able to help children and families in need. I am lucky to have been chosen for each build, and hope to do more builds in the future.”
“I am lucky enough to have been allowed to host the Big Balloon Build right here in Indiana County! Later this year in November our town will be hosting 80 balloon artists from around the
world. They will build a Christmas wonderland, and turn it over to the United Way of Indiana County. Stay tuned for more details. It is going to be epic!”
