IAA ANNOUNCES ANNUAL OPEN ARTS SHOW ENTRY DETAILS

The Indiana Art Association (IAA) will once again hold its fall Open Arts Show at the Historical and Genealogical Society of Indiana County (HGSIC), 621 Wayne Avenue, Indiana, PA.

IAA President Faye Kershishnik said that in addition to all IAA members, non-members and non-Indiana County residents are encouraged to enter this annual open exhibit.

Artwork drop off is at the HGSIC on Saturday, November 11th  from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public opening reception will be Saturday, November 18th from 6-8 p.m. Artwork must be picked up on Saturday, January 6th from 10 a.m. to noon when the show concludes.

Kershishnik noted that the entry form and guidelines may be found at the IAA website—https://www.indianaartassociation.org/open-arts.  Anyone with questions may email her at indianaartassociation.president@gmail.com or call (724) 254-1618. IAA Exhibits Chair Sharon Boykiw may also be contacted with questions at slboykiw92@gmail.com.

Boykiw said anyone may enter one or two pieces of artwork for an entry fee of $30 paid at the time of drop off. An early bird discount of $25 is offered to anyone sending their entry form to IAA at least one week prior to drop off date. All work must be original and created entirely by the person who signs it. Complete guidelines for entry may be found at the website noted above and should be reviewed carefully, added Boykiw.

“This is always a fun show and it’s exciting to see the new faces and varied artwork in our Open Arts Show each year,” Kershishnik said, adding, “We greatly appreciate the HGSIC hosting this event for us.”
