Promise250PA – Inspiring Pennsylvania’s next generation
This July 4th, America250PA asks for your support as we continue developing programs, projects, and events that EDUCATE, PRESERVE, INNOVATE and CELEBRATE Pennsylvania’s rich history, culture and future.
With a contribution of $20.26, you can help support efforts like the Keystone Classroom Initiative—a storytelling and visitation program that educates Pre-K through 4th grade students about our shared Pennsylvania story.
Since January 2023, we have reached over 5,800 students in 13 different counties across the Commonwealth. Our goal is to reach 50,000 students by the Semiquincentennial in 2026!
The Keystone Classroom Initiative is a storytelling and visitation program for preschool through fourth grade classrooms, children’s hospitals, and youth camps across the Commonwealth. Along with an age-appropriate historical reenactor, storyteller, local celebrity, or mascot, America250PA will visit children across Pennsylvania to educate them about our shared Pennsylvania story, as well as distribute our originally-designed America250PA Coloring Book and related materials.

- Submission of this application does not guarantee your school will be selected.
- Schools who may not be chosen MUST reapply if they wish to participate in a subsequent school year. Applications will not carry over from one year to the next.
- This program is for grades Pre-K–4th grade ONLY.
On July 4, 2026, America will be commemorating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. As we celebrate Independence Day with parades, fireworks, and picnics, let us be reminded that the freedoms we hold so dear in America, began in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776, with the adoption by the Continental Congress of the Declaration of Independence.
America250PA was established by the legislature and Governor in 2018 to plan, encourage, develop and coordinate this historic milestone, Pennsylvania’s integral role in that event, and the impact of its people on the nation’s past, present, and future.
America250PA is striving to make 2026 E.P.I.C as we EDUCATE, PRESERVE, INNOVATE and CELEBRATE Pennsylvania’s rich history, culture and future. We have created impactful programming throughout the Commonwealth to engage ALL Pennsylvanians in ALL 67 counties – 11 Signature Programs and Projects to date, with more in development!
