Levity Brewing Co. Awarded Blue Ribbon from the PA Farm Show

Levity Brewing Co brought home a blue ribbon from the PA Farm show in Harrisburg!!
“Haze Frehley” won first prize in the IPA category. This is Levity’s fourth win over the last 3 years, and perhaps the most exciting since IPA is the most-entered beer style in the competition. Levity’s head-brewer, Jay Herman had this to say, “We were ecstatic about Haze Frehley’s win this year! We would like to thank the Farm Show and the esteemed Beer Judges, who arguably have the best job in the world.”

Haze Frehley (pronounced “Freeley”) is named after legendary Kiss lead guitarist, Ace Frehley. Mr. Frehley was contacted 6 years ago to alert him to the honor bestowed by his fans at Levity Brewing. But sadly, he has not yet accepted invitations to the award ceremony.

As its name suggests, this is a hazy IPA. It has a big citrus grapefruit aroma, soft bitterness, and juicy citrus flavor. Customers at Levity’s taprooms and western PA bars and restaurants have been voting it their favorite Levity beer since its release in October, 2016 according to data on the beer rating app, Untappd. It can always be found on tap and in cans at Levity Indiana, Altoona, and the summertime beer trailer in Pittsburgh’s Southside Works Dog Park.

Join us in congratulating Levity Brewing Co. on this award and achievement!
