CAMP CADET TO RETURN TO IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES AFTER TWO-YEAR HIATUS

State police have announced that applications are being accepted for 2022’s Camp Cadet.

This marks a return to in-person activities for the week long camping experience after being cancelled for the last two years due to concerns with Covid-19.  The goal of the camp is to provide children ages 12-15 with a first-hand experience in a career in law enforcement, military, criminal justice and related fields.  Cadets will get the chance to work alongside law enforcement, first responders, and other agencies to learn investigative techniques.  The camp will be held August 7th to the 13th at Camp Seph Mack in Penn Run.

Applications are available at www.indianacountycampcadet.org and at the State Police Barracks on Fenton Road in Indiana.  People are reminded that this is not a recreational camp or a disciplinary camp for problem youth.  Applications are due by May 1st.
