::Jimmy Stewart Museum Receives Grant Support From The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission
Scott Doyle, of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission has announced General Operating Support Grants for Museums in Pennsylvania. The Jimmy Stewart Museum in Indiana, PA has been awarded $1496, in General Operating Support. The funds have been designated for salary and collections support. The Museum received about 10% of its requested amount. The Commission has advised all participants that all funding programs for Pennsylvania are currently on hold for the 2010-2011 cycle, relative to budget issues still pending in Harrisburg. The Board of Directors of the Jimmy Stewart Museum thanks the commission for this support and hopes that appropriate funding can be restored to Commission and Pennsylvania museums in the future.
