New exhibit focusing on the Stewart Family home at 918 Roxbury Drive in Beverly Hills, California. This exhibit draws on a variety of sources, both personal and professional to give viewers an intimate glimpse into the home that Jimmy and Gloria Stewart purchased shortly after their marriage in 1949. The Stewarts raised their family at "918" and remained in the home until James Stewart's death in 1997. The Tudor-style home was originally built for Hollywood Director, King Vidor. Neighbors around the Roxbury Drive area included Rosemary Clooney and Lucy and Ricky Ricardo among others. The home was demolished shortly after Stewart's death. The original solid oak front door that graced the home and welcomed such luminaries as Rosalind Russell, President and Mrs. Regan, Jack Benny, Gregory Peck, Carol Burnett, Henry Fonda and Bob Hope among others was gifted to the museum several years ago. The door will serve as the functional entrance to the gallery holding the "918" exhibition.

By popular demand, the World War I display has been remounted at the Historical Museum. The ‘War to End All Wars’ was the first action that Armed Forces of the United States fought on the continent of Europe and Indiana County played an important role in this action. The 10th Pennsylvania National Guard, with companies in Indiana and Blairsville, was merged into the 28th Division and served admirably in the war. This was a conflict that still has ramifications for the present day and much can still be learned from WWI. This display can be viewed during regular business hours at the Historical Museum, 621 Wayne Ave, Indiana, Pa.
