The first Saturday of each month starting in May and running til September. Learn how to make: a birdhouse, a flower box, a wreath, decorate old windows, wine making 101, cheese making 101, weaving and knitting. Workshop for 13 to 18 year olds. Each participant is to bring their own lunch. No previous stage experience is necessary. Participants will receive experiences in acting, voice projection, stage movement, creating characters, dance and scene structure. The cost for each participant is $125 for a 3 week session. As a culminating activity, the workshop actors will take part in a production of Godspell, 101 Dalmatians, or School House Rock as part of our 2008-2009 season. A wonderfully funny farce about Paul, a professional skeptic from New York, who accidentlly breaks a priceless statue of Stonewall Jackson at a confederate heritage museum owned by his girlfriend's mother. Embarrassed and fearful, Paul claims the statue "just fell off" the pedestal, setting in motion a series of ever larger lies and misunderstandings that eventually lead to an exorcism on live television, and a hard choice between his personal safety and the woman he loves.
