Can't sit out on your porch without getting pestered by mosquitoes? Well, if you can't, this program is one you do not want to miss. This is your chance to learn all about bats of Pennsylvania and build a bat box capable of holding 200 bats. If you build it they will come!!! Your mosquito problems will be solved because bats can consume tremendous amounts of insects. As a matter of fact, the little brown bat, a very common bat here, can eat 600 insects and hour. Pre-registration required. Due to limited supplies and space this program will be limited to the first 10 families and/or participants. Construction costs are $40 for each bat box.
