The play tells the story of John, an irascible Scotsman and an uptight English woman, Maude, both in their late 50s, who take on the journey of a lifetime. They are brought together when his ward marries her niece. Then, when the young couple decides to adopt a new born baby, the older couple has to travel 6,000 miles to California to pick up the child and bring her safely home to Scotland. The problem is, John and Maude despise each other. To make matters worse, they get stranded in San Francisco for several weeks and are expected to jointly care for the helpless newborn. There they form a new partnership and learn some startling lessons about life and love. Tuesday-Thursday: 8 pm, Wednesday & Friday: 2 pm and Sunday: 3 pm

Join the park naturalist for an in-depth discussion on PA's bats, followed by a visit to the Park's Bat House to conduct a bat court and just watch the little furry creatures fly around. This is the 300th year for Brush Valley Township! Come join us this year. Fun includes: a pet parade, pedal car races, greased pole, sawdust pile, cross cut, and a coloring contest. The Rescue of 1858: Newman's Escape is dedicated to the courageous freedom seekers who journeyed north through Indiana county and to those who helped them along the way. Passport to Freedom is an NPS status program that commemorates the actions of Newman and the citizens of Blairsville. The annual reenactment is held during Blairsville's Diamond Days Celebration.
